We were so happy that we found Colleen and Coll-it Entertaining to help plan our wedding. As a gay couple, we wanted to ensure we found a professional that would understand the nuances of our celebration, as well as be someone we could be open with throughout the planning process. No matter what your love looks like, Colleen is the right planner to hire. Not to mention, her warm and inviting personality makes it feel you’re working with a close friend.
Colleen truly understands how to manage events on behalf of her clients to not only bring their vision to life, but to keep her clients at ease leading up and the day of their wedding. She is very detailed oriented, providing meticulous schedules, trackers, floor plans, and design mockups to help us and our vendors understand the full vision of our wedding day. On the day of the wedding, everything was executed to absolute perfection and was aligned exactly with our vision. Colleen went above and beyond to prepare the decor, keep things running smoothly, and make sure we and our guests had everything they needed.
Working with Colleen leading up to our wedding was such an easy and enjoyable experience. Being two working professionals in NYC, we relied on Zoom calls as we planned our wedding in Connecticut. Colleen was easy to schedule time with, frequently being open to calls later in the evening to account for work schedules. She also offered to help coordinate decor pickup/drop as we got close to our wedding from a family’s home in Connecticut if needed.
What really impressed us was how organized Colleen repackaged all our belongings at the conclusion of the wedding evening. The next day as we went to gather our items, everything was neatly packaged back in their boxes with labels.
Colleen is a professional who knows how to work with vendors and venues with ease. We cannot recommend her enough to any couple looking for a true wedding expert.

When people ask me for wedding advice, I always say the most important vendor is a wedding coordinator or planner—and I send them straight to Colleen! One of the many reasons we chose Colleen was her expertise with Something Borrowed Blooms, a cost-effective and allergy-friendly flower rental option. She went above and beyond: coordinating the delivery of 12 boxes of florals to her home, inspecting the blooms, fluffing them to perfection, transporting them to the venue, setting each table, breaking them down afterward, and shipping them back. And she did all of this on top of flawlessly organizing our entire wedding day from start to finish.

ANYONE would be lucky to work with her. Starting six months out, she was in touch with us regularly, holding regular check-ins and always answering our (many!) questions and emails thoughtfully and quickly.
She really helped guide us through the wedding planning process, not only helping us stay on track with day-of details, but also helping to provide creative solutions when problems arose, like our church double-booking our wedding with another back to back. She stepped in and immediately came up with a plan to resolve the issue.
She communicated with our vendors seamlessly behind-the-scenes and they all complimented how professional and great she was to work with! She also put together the most detailed and comprehensive day-of timeline I've ever seen. I actually had multiple bridesmaids AND wives of groomsmen tell me how amazing it was.
